The Misterbianco Carnival, with its most beautiful costumes in Sicily, is not only one of the oldest and most celebrated on the island but also represents an invaluable heritage recognized at a national level, being registered in the REIS (Register of Intangible Heritage of Sicily) and historically elected for the first time to the National Board of Italian Carnivals.
Costumes of remarkable craftsmanship are presented as true masterpieces. The creation of these garments requires months of work, meticulous research, and imagination. Stories intertwine among the lace and plays of colors paint the fabrics. These works of art can weigh over 40kg.
Some of the most beautiful costumes in Sicily are still jealously guarded and can be admired at the “Carnival Museum” at the Monaco Establishment.
